I realize that, but there are many places during a boot. I.E. BIOS Post, Windows Loading Screen, Login screen, etc.

I would imagine during the first phase of Windows startup, after NTLDR hands over to the kernel, and the kernel starts loading drivers...

It was after the desktop loaded up............would come up with found a new device.

Just rolling back the driver isn't the same as the restore operation, as the system was not looking for drivers prior to the installation.

Oh, It's asking for the file's path to install it. You have to click browse and then go to c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\AmdK8.sys or C:\Program Files\AMD\Athlon 64 Processor Driver\amdk8.sys.

there is no AMDK8 in the folder , just K6 and K7

Reinstall the processor driver then. Or click start, search and look for the file. Make sure to check "Look in hidden folders and files".

k im gonna use the original disk that the mb came with

Back to square 1...............go to install processor driver.............get the error boot.ini couldnt be opened talk about brutal

im getting the same issue. looked everywhere for help. nobody seems to be able to.

falcx you might want to flash to bios 26 and see if that helps, i dont even use the driver i cant tell a differance,bs the av8 is piece of sh*t imo, wish i got somin else
