Thanks again WD! Yeah...maybe I'm being greedy but I know this thing's got more to give. Getting there!

I would run the 2d gambit at those clocks
Then try for more so if you kill it in the process at least you still got some good mileage out of it

It sounds like you are going to get more or waste it trying ... Lol

Yeah...going after them one at a time while still trying to improve clocks and stability. Hoping to not kill it :/

Here are my current settings. Anyone have ideas/thoughts on how to improve without adding vcore?

Am currently running with the cellshock sticks. They can run fairly tight but don't overclock well. For benches that favor speed over timings, should I try the ballistix, hyperx or evo2's instead? (not sure if the 2133 hyperx or 2000 evo2's will run in the board)?

tia!

WoW, your really rocking that Q6600  DDR3 ram, YEAH  My UD45 is v.1 and DDR2. Best I could get was 4.4GHz @ 1.792v ouch

Asus undervolts vtt by at least .1v, at least on my formula x48 and x58..

Maybe that's why Windows 7 crashes with a WHEA bus/interconnect error on my Maximus II Gene before raising the FSB termination voltage.

Thanks Techjessie! Yeah...seems I found a decent clocker! Now want to get every last drop hehe

Thanks again Witchdoctor! Now if only I could be as competitive in the other 2D's :/ hehe

Thought I blew the chip but it lives on!

OK...so...seems to be getting good speed from the cpu, now could use some help with the ram situation. Am having trouble getting beyond 800MHz.

Been trying for around 850 but no success. Tried loosening timings to 8-8-8. Also tried dropping ai twister from moderate or light down to lighter. Also tried upping the performance level from 9 to 12. Can sometimes make it into the os but tends to crash pretty much instantly. Getting a number of bsod 124's so tried raising vtt (tried all the way up to 1.53)...still no go.

Any ideas??? What the heck?

have tried all straps but been using 266 (stable), trying for 300 (~850MHz single channel iirc)
