any advantage of USB over PS/2?

Running 1000Hz with no issues, I really don't see how my motherboard could possibly fry just because I
have the driver asking for updates on mouse location more often, but if I do you can all laugh at me then.

I think it was recently added. Look for the thread about it in forum feedback (there are a couple new emoticon threads, one of them about the shrug).
