I was wondering if this is possible, i have an extra 120mm enermax fan that is quieter

The HydroCool's key features include:

User programmable temps for alarm and shutdown
Low fluid alarm
Visual flowmeter
Copper waterblock with thermal probe
Temp controlled fan speed (50% @ 35C, 100% @ 45C)
Fan override switch
Fail safe shutdown

I would read this review, before I tried messing with the fan..:burn::)

i have read that review, and i do have the hydrocool. i'm saying the unit is a bit loud for my taste. are there any mods i can do to make it quieter

Only thing I can think of to make it run quieter is to provide cooler air to the intake fan on the unit..Duct some A/C to that baby and see if it don't quieten down...The fans are making noise because the unit senses they need to run faster to cool your chip down..Providing cooler air to the rad. should take care of your issue..:)

What are your ambient(room) and system(case/mobo) temps??
