Asus PCIE on/off switch

I'm sure you are aware of the on/of switches for the 16x GPU lanes on Asus motherboards. Does this mean there is absolutely no power going to them? Since I have a removable motherboard tray, I'd like to setup everything on the board, but test the CPU only loop with a GPU in the last slot. I don't want to do this if the 780TI's are getting any power from the slots.

I don't believe it interrupts power. Just data.
