Did you install the drivers for those ports (they should be enabled by default but certainly check)

Is the drive brand new or has it been initialized and formatted in the past?

The drives are brand new. When I checked the hard drives in the BIOS, I see all the drives when I connect it to the INTEL chipset controller, but I could not see the hard drives when I connect it to the ASMEDIA ports.

If I need to install the drivers, that means I need to install the operating system first?

Sorry, I thought you already installed Windows. It should show in the bios regardless I believe... worst case is install windows and the drivers for those ports and then see if they show up (after you made sure they were enabled in the first place).
