Backing up windows files for use in OSX

I am switching over to a Mac pro for my main rig and I need to transfer my files over. I know that I can simply copy all of them over through a external hard drive, but I have always used windows 7 back up and restore so that my files keep their DATE CREATED, DATE MODIFIED settings intact. What program should I use so that when I transfer over to OSX my files will keep that information and not switch to the day I moved them? Is there a program for osx that will read a windows back up and restore file?
