Hello at all

Something new about Boinc and Astropulse, this is taken
from a Germann Web-Site

http://www.setinews.de/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=69

This is a Beta Test from Astropulse.

Boinc is even 1 MB big. After installation, it will open a window
and a B is in the Tasklist. You can "log in to project" for a new
project.
By the first time you became an Account-Key per E-Mail.
This Account-Key is global and for all BOINC Projects, this key
is like 6a029xxxxaeb1e17052a62xxxxxxxxxx.

By the login for an Project , you will be asked for the Account key
and an URL, an the the "sub" Client for the project
will be loaded. At this time only the Beta Version of Astropulse
was able to load.
Thje Astropulse-Client is only 232 kb an installed in an Sub-Directory of BOINC. After this you can download the WU.
At this time the WU has a volume from 5 MB !.
This WU is taken in several sub-WUs.
you can see this in the pictures.

The Beta Version is alike the Client Version of Seti, no graphic
Display or so. And you can only see the basic.

By this Beta, with an Pentium 2 at 300 with Windows 2000,
it will show the the Client will take 20 hours to complete.
But we cant see what exacly are calculate.
All Data (contend and time) will be stored in xml-Data,

AND every WU is signed

also no to the Cheaters

.
The xml- Data have many infos zb

- the url , which the WUs will be uploaded
- The first Date of the Account
-which Code he have
-at which Project he is include
-the homepage-url of the project
-which Client Version is aktiv
-th url who is the newest Client Version
-operating System
- the locale IP
-the local hostname
-os-system-Version

Back to the client
If you have logged in, it shows the User Stats like Name, E-mail Adress etc. But there 2 new links "Your Computer and "Preferences". At "Your Computer" you find a list of how many

One quick question Sir Ulli:

Do you have to register anew into the project or will the account information (nickname, e-mail address and country) carry over from S@H?

I downloaded that stuff from Source Forge, but I can't figure out what to do with it. Looks like a lot of c++ code.

@Mictlan

i thougt that you musst register anew, and the TEAMS
have also build a new Account for BOINC.

@TC

if you download the "Stuff" from Source Forge you need
Windows.net to use it, only the Linux "Stuff" can be used,
because in Linux there is all you need to compile the source.

here are some new pictures from the Linux-Client

Hello

if someone will look at the new client, so look here =klick=

it is the Windows Version, but you can do nothing with it.
I compile it, for the people who will have a look at this.
