Can you adjust the PS3 turn on time?

The PS3 that I just picked up a few weeks ago has a very annoying issue and I am wondering if there is any way to adjust it. The problem is that the unit powers on if you even touch the PS button on a controller or the power button on the front of the unit. This is annoying because I have a cat and she will sometimes step on the PS button or on the front of the PS3, and when that happens the thing fires right up. I would prefer that you had to hold the button down for a few seconds like on my XBox 360 and I know that would fix my issue.

Does anyone know if there is some way to change the delay to power on for the PS3? Thanks!
