My Corsair Platinum 1866 will not switch to 1600 or 1866 speed without my motherboard reporting Overclock Has Failed, it then reverts setting back to 1333. I tried my older Mushkin 1600, it does the same, Overclock Has Failed. Using my older AMD 970, both my memory sets act correctly and will hold a 1600 setting.
My motherboard has BIOS F11, I will try F10. Any ideas why I cant hold 1600 or 1866 setting?

I upped the CPU NB VID Voltage Control. First by +0.025V, then +0.050V and +0.075V. No luck, Im afraid to go higher. I got Voltage Controls for CPU PLL, DRAM, DDR VTT, NB, HT Link, NB/PCIe/PLL, CPU NB VID, and CPU.

Besides adding .05V to the CPU-NB VID, bump DRAM voltage to 1.55 w/ the timings at rated 9-10-9-27 and Command Rate set to 2T. You may also need to up DDR VTT and possibly NB voltages.

Its working. When setting the memories rating from Auto to Manual 1600 all the times would be on Auto. The Overclock Has Failed stopped after setting the timings... 9-10-9-27 2T. Thanks you very much for your help.

So are you saying Auto assigned wrong timings?

Sounds about right to me, who would have thought a motherboard made in this era cant even set proper RAM timings? Most of us I think...

Glad you got this issue sorted out though. Learn about RAM timings and read Dolks Guide to Phenom-II it will open up a whole new can of overclocking for ya!
