How can you tell if you memory is running dual or single. CPUZ is tell me that my memory is running single but I have dual channel.
Here is what I have;

Manufacturer: Corsair
Speed: DDR400(PC3200)
Type: 184 Pin DDR SDRAM
Error Checking: Non-ECC
Registered/Unbuffered: Unbuffered
Cas Latency: 2.5
Support Voltage: 2.5V
Bandwidth: 3.2GB/s
Organization: 64M x 64 -Bit

do you have your memory in the correct dimms to use the dual channel?

on p4 boards its slots 1&3 and 2&4 on nforce2 i believe its slots 1&2 and on a64 its slots 1&3 and 2&4 (i think anyway i know they were slots 1&2 and 3&4 on my k8n neo2 plat though  )

Its like this see

On the Abit mother board NF7 its:
Dimm Slot 1&3 = Dual Channel
Dimm Slot 2&3 = Dual Channel
Dimm Slot 1&2 = Single Channel
I hope this helps.

I am running only 1 stick of 512. I was under the impression you can run dual with one stick, am I wrong? See sig for MB etc.

1 stick or 2 ?

Do you have one stick of memory or two??
If you have two Look above .
If you have one stick it will only run in single channel mode.

Thanks for the info. I just dug out the manual for my board ( yeah yeah yeah I know). It says to install from Dimm 3-1. I always thought it was Dimm 1-3.

Sorry

If you put you single stick of memory in:
Slot 1= Single Channel
Slot 2= Single Channel
Slot 3= Single Channel

Sorry for the Bad News. :-/
