Custom window Idea

I have the Chieftec/antec/alienware style case and i am happy with the window on the mobo side, but i was going to make an awesome custom design on the other side that would just be lit by CC's. Has anyone done this so far because I cannot think of a good way to light it, because the cathodes will not fit in the tight space behind the mobo mounting panel.

Any ideas on how to fit the CC's or another way to light it?

cut the back panel so the cathode in front shines through to the back.

Try using LEDs. They are small enough to fit almost anywhere, and superbrights would do the job nicely.

Get some EL Wire which is expensive but casts a good, even illumination all the way around the edge of the Plexi (I assume) plate. Here is an example:
