Upgraded my home PC recently, so I threw my old Gigabyte z370 Gaming Wifi board into my office PC and while I was at it for kicks I decided to delid the i3-8350k for no reason at all that I can think of other than to post a thread of me doing it... Seriously that's the only reason I did this lol.... Anyway, my delid thingy was like $10 on Amazon and I already used it on my 8700k.
Get your scraping on.
Polish it off and apply the nail polish stuff.
Apply the liquid metal with complete disregard to both (surface tension scifi stuff).
Slap it in the motherboard w/ no adhesive because YOLO. (better noticeable temps)
Apply the Grizzly what ever the right way is these days... (are eggs good or bad for you today?)
Aaannnd done... (except for needing to clear my CMOS, boot loops, fans going bonkers, and then it all working just right)
Today's lesson was brought to you by the President's 6G technology, and what seems to be about 10°C drop in temps while still at stock speeds on full load of prime95. It's an 8th gen i3 so I didn't care enough to really be that precise...
