Dell Inspiron E1505

Hey guys, I was doing some reading but wanted to confirm.
Can I install a Micro-FCPGA version of the Core 2 Duo in my E1505.
Ive already maxed out the ram, and what not.
My version also has the Geforce 7300se.

I belive these guys are say yeah...but its a year old thread.

If you have a Core Duo in there now, you can put in a Core 2 Duo that is up to 667FSB and uses Socket M. I believe the highest was a T7600.

yes, that would work but if you're looking for 64bit/SSSE3, you won't find it in the Core Duo line.

Sorry Im easily confused, the CPUZ screen is of my CPU...that was in low power mode via RightMark.
The ebay auction is for a Core 2 Duo...

Are you saying, with that particular CPU, (the one in the auction) I wont be able to use a 64bit OS or have SSE3? Sort of a downgrade isnt it?

Core Duo was not 64bit, Core 2 Duo is. T2600 is a Core Duo.

SSSE3 is not there, you have SSE3 with Core Duo.

Your current cpu doesn't have x86-64 support, yonah (core duo) doesn't have it. You need Core 2 Duo for that.
