First timer Pelt help.

I have had my watercooling rig for around half a year and now im getting the idea of cooling my cpu even more with pelts.

I read the stickies but would still greatly appreciate any help on the following questions...

1) Where can you buy Pelts in Europe?
2) I want to run the pelt on my psu (320 watts, 12v has 18amps) 12 volt rail, is my psu strong enough?
3) Do you need to put thermal compound below the cpu and between the mobo?

My cpu temps are: idle 28 load 36

1) not sure. I have seen some on ebay with the price listed in pounds.

2) Nope, a 600w might depending on other loads, but a 320w will never do it.

3) Absolutely not. What you need in there is dielectric grease.

I ment 430 W.

So Im now looking into getting a Meanwell 320 Watt Industrial Power Supply does anyone know where to get something simmular or it in Europe?

Doh! You edited your post before I finished my reply. I don't know of any venders that sell the meanwell in europe. Sorry can't help you there.

Ill think il get that psu but what would be a good pelt to go for?

We would need to know what cpu you have to figure out what pelt you need. For all P4s and A64s the marlow 226w pelt or the thermal enterprises 350w pelt (~200w actaully at 12v) would be a good idea. Anything less simply will not cut it.


Oh and check this place for the meanwell if the other two places don't ship to Europe. Looks like they ship anywhere.
