If you are willing to pay $299 to boost an iGPU performance, you are doing it wrong. Specially, if a 7950 costs only $299.

I agree, but with HTPC and the future of AMD APU, 2800 is nice to see.

I dont really know, that is why I asked for a test on their APUs.

I have read user claims of using 2133 and 2400 and being fine with it and I know MSI had a BIOS update (1.5) that allowed the 75 and 85 to use 2400. Also, I think its ASUS or AsRock that has specs that allow 2600 (OC).

Yes. The current memory frequency record (by Christian Ney) is around DDR3-3900, set with a Llano APU. Most of the rest of the top ten are with Bulldozer. However all of those require extreme cooling. Once cold, AMD's IMC can reach insane frequencies. On ambient....not so much.

On ambient, it can't even handle 2133MHz. At least, an A10 I built refuses to boot with them.

I've gotten a Trin A10 to handle 2400s before. It requires a bit of creative thinking, a little luck, and a butt load of voltage
