I'm having problems with 16 gb geil ram (4 x 4 ) It wont run dual channel , just hangs and crashes on startup , the part number is one digit different at the last number , should it be the same , or were they produced side by side ?
It worked fine for 3 days in my new build , but now is acting like an arse .

Not sure what you are saying. They do sell 4x4gig kits for a total of 16gigs of ram. Is that what you bought or 2 kits of 2x4gigs and one kit has a different part number. Either way it sounds like a stick of ram is going bad. Work a couple of days and start to give problems seems the way in which electronic components fail.

Post the spec's of each kit, including the rated frequency, timings, and voltage. Also include what the current settings are for each, read from CPU-Z--> Memory tab. And list the rest of your system spec's.
