Hi, i just purchased this card from newegg and i can't seem to find any information on whether it follows AMD's reference design. It is an R9 290 series card. Here is a link to the card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125505

I have also used http://www.coolingconfigurator.com/ but they don't list the card.

How can i check or does anyone know if it follows AMD's ref design. This is leading to me buying a second card and finding a compatible waterblock.

Cheers

It does, but the manufacturer number doesn't match the number for the card i bought. I'm new to this and i'm not sure if the numbers matter.

Looks like they don't have it listed. To be sure in case the reference block will still work with that GPU, I would email them to be certain.

Update 2/24/2014

I was able to get a hold of Gigabyte technical support and they said the board is NOT reference design.

I will be providing information to the coolingconfigurator.com website so that they can recommend a waterblock for this card. I will then post which waterblock they recommend here.
