With my recent discovery that I majorly need to upgrade my cooling, and some input on here, I think I've decided to get a Cooler Master
Hyper 212 EVO to cool my CPU, and I thought when I put this thing in its time I gave my PC a proper clean (removing parts, etc) so what better time to finally figure out how to remove that 200mm fan at the top of the case (Antec Nine Hundred Two V2 I believe) and replace them with some (hopefully cooler) fans, but also I always wanted a bit of a Luigi green theme going on, so I was looking at CoolerMaster fans to match the CPU cooler, but also Corsair.

So I guess its a multi question lol

How does the CoolerMaster XtraFlo compare against the CoolerMaster SickleFlow, etc.

More so for Corsair, are the SP120s the same as the AP120s (SP have no LED)

I can obviously look up and see all the speed stats, etc, I'm more wondering about actual performance, the blade designs, etc. which are more effective.

Best example is the 200mm top fan, since Corsair and CoolerMaster don't seem to offer theirs in green LED variants, I've looked elsewhere and found NZXT Silent Riffle Fan 200mm Green

The blade design is far different to the regular fans, is it more or less effective?

Any suggestions on any other green fans, either LED or solid colour green, that both look nice and do the job well would be great :)

While i can understand you want a different colour, i fail to see why you are looking for a "better/more powerful" 200mm fan. Yes, if you happen to stumble upon a "better" fan, then whynot. But unless you are willing to go industrial, there just are no "powerful" 200mm fans.

If you want better cooling, concentrate on the intake.
Get some serious fannage on the intake side and the exhaust will sort itself out.
Won't make a lot of difference if the top exhaust is running a 600, 900 or 1200 RPM... except noise maybe.

So decent intake fans make a world of difference... they need enough CFM and enough SP to overcome the filters.

About Corsair:
all AF series, especially the Quiet Edition are only suitable for exhaust, only the SPs are suitable for intake fans. The AF/SP Performance Edition are acceptable as intakes/heatsink/radiator fans... but they've got an annoying pitch in their noise profile.

So, for the top exhaust... get one that fits and has the colour you like, preferably with some CFM while relative low noise. Maybe Bitfenix Spectre Pro's

Should you decide to listen to my advise and get better intake fans... put a budget forward.... be advised that GOOD fans start at $ 25,-

Well if I replace the other fans, I'd like the top one to match in LED, just coz you know, so it looks sexy :p

So nice to know it doesn't really matter what I choose I can go for style there.

As for intake fans, if the AP/SP Performance Editions have an annoying pitch with their noise, whats some alternatives known to be effective as intake fans? The site I'm looking at atm doesn't seem to have much past the $25 mark for single fans, so either, theres some good ones on there cheap, or I'll have to shop around.

Fans are cheap anyway, compared to most part, I'm comfortable spending what needs to be spent to get the job done, but I would like to keep the green theme going where I can.

There are no "good" LED fans. Not for intake anyways.

ATMINs suggestion to use a RGB strip is the best solution: get some good intake fans (white, black, red, blue or ... brown/beige) and "light them up" with a strategically placed led strip.

For example: 120 mm Intake fans

Damn thanks for the advice, sucks half these brands I'm not finding easily on the Australian sites, will have to try find a specialist or a world wide supplier, but you've definitely pointed me in the right direction thanks :)
