I found a used 580 on ebay 3 weeks ago for €150 ($190) incl. shipping.
If not in a hurry, you can maybe find something similar (if lucky :D).

I know the 670 is better. I never really asked what was, just for the price of a used 580 for $300 or so to the new 670 is $420. Not many people seem to want to be giving up their 670's for leas than $370...

Well, with the low supply, no real reason for underselling it!

There isn't anything wrong with the 580, but I'm extremely happy with my 670. I can run Batman Arkumn Asylum at 1920X1200 everything maxed out with high physics in DX11 with this single card and average frame rates are about 45-50 fps! It all depends on what res your running, what your looking to get, and what you care about. For me I wanted a single card that could game and physic at the same time at 1080p and I have that. I don't think the 580 could pull that off.

Okay, I think I'm gona go with a 580 when I get the money unless I can find a 670 thats worth the extra $$$. I mean, would you say that for $280 the 580 is more worth it used than the EVGA GTX 670 new for $420? Also found a 4GB version here
EVGA GeForce GTX 670 Superclocked 4096MB 04G-P4-2673-KR
For $380. And it's brand new inbox. Just that I don't really think I will need the 670 for the $400 price tag on it. Might go for 580, but if able I will go for 670. Money is the only deciding factor as of now.

That's a pretty good price for the 4GB 670, over here I can't find one under $530 (same model than the one you found, evga gtx670 superclocked, 04G-P4-2673-KR) and then there's the 15% sales tax and probably at least $20 for the shipping... And I need 2 *sigh*

WOW, that's a great price.. Where on earth did you find that??

Exactly ;) Haha. But yeah I found about 5 or 6 580s at $220. But I also found a new one that I am willing to pay up to $300 for. Also do warranties transfer from person to person or no? Like if I buy a used EVGA GPU can the original owner call EVGA and have them transfer all the warranty info to my info?

um it depends some go by serial numbers others you have to register. just look it up for the company your going for.

The 580 you cant transfer the warranty, however the new 670-680 you can, EVGA just started that.

But what if its a new unopened box? Does the warranty only go into effect if first activated?

They required proof of purchase to register the cards for the warranty (for my 570's). While they let you register them without one, if you need to RMA, they'll most likely request it.

Okay you know what, screw it. I'm going for the 670. If I'm gona spend $300 I might as well spend another $100 to get something thats even better and has a 10 year warranty that can be transferred and resold. And I am willing to save. I have $275 at the moment. If I sell my GPU that I have now I will ahve maybe $350 and then from there I can make a little bit more money.

EVGA has a 3 year warranty that is transferable, you don't even need a receipt

Ok, have questions. Just ordered and received a Zotac GTX 580 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500232. It was $280 on newegg and came with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Let me add, the image quality is way better then my MSI 560ti it's replacing. I know that's another conversation but looking at it it seem there may have been some driver or hardware issue with the 560ti as the face shadows in Oblivion look all messed up on the 560ti while on the 580 they are perfect.

Anyways, I though about it and ordered a GTX670 which should be here next couple of days. Its a factory OC MSI reference card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127675 $350 after rebate and comes with Borderlands 2 and Assassin's Creed 3. The games are about 100 bucks combined so I was thinking if I kept the 580 and bought the 2 games it's like $360 but if I get the 670 it's like I get a 10 to 20 percent performance boost for free based on benchmarks I've seen. The other thing is the power savings of the 670 will pay back in the long run. Just asking, should I keep the 670 or the 580. If I send either back they are going to charge me $35 restocking fee which I am willing to swallow and don't forget about return shipping. Unless someone wants this 580 for $250 bucks cause it's only being used for about a 5 days.

Either way, is the 670 the way to go or keep the 580. After the image quality issue with my 560ti I am thinking the drivers favor the 80 and 90s from (400/500/600 series) nvidia and the 60 and 70s get less attention on purpose.

Or should I have gotten a 7970 which will make me feel really bad if you guys say I should have. I hate my life:facepalm:

The latest driver update from AMD (12.11) actually put the 7970 about equal with the 680 in terms of performance, and it comes with Far Cry 3, Hitman, Sleeping Dogs, and 20% off MOH: Warfighter.
