GTX280/S1

Is AC not listing the Accelero S1 as compatible with the GTX280 because it simply will not fit or because they feel it can't handle the heat?

They havent updated its compatability since the launch of the g92 and rv670. That being said I wouldnt trust a S1 to take a gtx280 passively but if you stap some 120mm fans to it you should be good.

Edit: forgot to add that the s1 will physically fit on the card

went back and looked at where I baised my post off of and they where horribly off topic and actually talking about a different card in a gtx280 thread. After more looking it wont fit

I wondered why you were against the advice received on a couple of other forums.

Look like it's an HD48x0 and S1 for me.
