Horrible framerates on desktop

what in the world just happened? i upgraded 8500 drivers from 6107 to the new ones (6118 i think). Now my IE windows and everything else is refreshing so slow that its hard to even type or scroll through the forums! i have now reverted to 6094, but its the same thing! oh, now when i try to open the F@H window, i get an error and it has to close. what is going on here?!

sorry about all that, it must have been the fsb speed that did that because 151 is fine but 152 is choppy... guess the 8500 cant handle the heat!
havent tested the new drivers out yet though on games
