im trying to host a very small mp3 (under 150k). Is there any free hosting place that will let me do this?

What are you trying to host it for?
If its for personal use - you could just get gmail (OC/Community has more than we can get rid of), and attach it there perhaps - they have 10 MB limits for attachments I believe. If you are just trying to transfer a few files between PC's occasionally, you can get the gmail drive extension application for both PC's and this will work fairly well for that.
Someone on the forums might host it for you also depending on what you are trying to do with it.
