I have a problem that is really more of an anoyance than a real problem. The icons on my desktop, their text background stays the color of the desktop color, it wont become transparent to the wallpaper. If you can think of a way to fix this annoying problem that would be G R A N D.

What OS are you using?

On older Windows systems, like 98 and ME (not sure about 2000), the box holding the text will stay the color of the background color, and not the wallpaper. As far as I know there is no way to turn that off. In XP, however, it should be transparent.

Thats the wierd thing is that i do have Win XP Professional.

Open System Properties | "Advanced" tab | Performance-->"Settings" button | "Visual Effects" tab | Scroll down to "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop", and make sure it's checked.
