Online store... search google for what you need (the specs... like 15w 15ohm variable or whatever)

that first one you linked from radio shack will not work im betting cause its only a 3 watt device and you want at least 18 watts range for a high end fan

check the ratings on them before you buy anything

No you don't understand the one at Frozen is "specially forumlated for computer fans, and high speed ones at that!"

nope, most big electronics distributors are just huge warehouses and websites. like www.mouser.com, www.directron.com, www.jameco.com, www.digikey.com, etc.

Yep, he is right, you are probably out of luck if you wanna find it locally. Good luck finding one, though I'm sure there is one in NY somwhere... probably not close though.
