hey guys,

heard this mentioned on a previous thread of mine and it piqued my curiousity:

How do you get the FX chipset to work with the CH IV mobo? Reflash it to change it AM3+ from AM3? Sorry but I ignorant when it comes to flashing and I am interested in picking up a FX + new GPU and probably PSU because I'm not sure a 500w will cut it.

Picking up a FX (especially now with the sales) would be a heck of alot cheaper than buying a new MB + CPU + PSU (depending on if needed, my 500w ModXstream pro works quite well right now considering it's only 7 months old).

Any advice?

FX processor compatibilty is bios dependent. The later bioses support the FX series The Asus supported CPU site section will say which bios is the first one required for 'which' cpu.

+1 rgone

you will need bios# 3027 it is beta, so you might wait till it is out of beta (testing) stage.
