It is usually suggested to run a matching pair of sticks. If they are the same timings you shouldn't run into issues but could. What are the specs on the rest of the system, some older cpu's may not even be capable of running at 1600 Mhz.Thanks alot! Will i see any difference running it at 1600 rather than 1333? Also can i have one stick of 4bg and another of 8gb or 16fb? The size of sticks must be identical?

Then yes there's no way I'd put an 8 core onto it. Probably not even on the support list.
