I have 190 dollars, going to amd, need a good motherboard/Duron combo DDR.

NOT including shipping, what should i get? I was thinking of a Duron 600. Anything that overclocks higher than that? Also what motherboard. I was thinking of the KK266, but i want DDR ram/SDRAM compatable.

I highly recommend the Epox 8K7A DDR board for about $125 but it doesn't take SDRAM. Only DDR. A 128MB stick of Crucial PC2100 DDR is $32 shipped. Duron's bottom out around $30-35. That totals to right around your price limit. If you need a heatsink add another $30-40 for a good one like the Glaciator.

durons will cost you about 50bucks shipped and you can get a 1gig tbird that with do around 1.5 for less than 100bucks! I would save a little more money and go with a kk266 or ka266 and a 1gig tbird for about 225 shipped. no hsf!
