Well that was rather Unproductive, 5 hours wasted on the 6970 (which the bios is ruined). Didn't really get much else done, Theres just not a hole lot i can get done on this single stage at High speeds, before there just isn't enough cooling to keep things happy it seems.

Ooh and my bclk releated issues seem to be VRM temperature related, the system is protecting itself but shutting down cause the temp on them skyrockets. (time for more cooling there aswell).

Does your 6970 have dual bios or is the card effectively dead?

single, the image on the bios is effectively damaged. with no way for me to fix it.
