Hi all!

===========================
Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H - Bios: F12j
i7 3770k Batch L224C379
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DD3 1600C8
MSI GTX580
Corsair hydro H100
HAF 922
PSU 850W Coolermaster
==========================

Read the guides and trying to overclock to 4.5-4.6

What i have done in BIOS:

-Load optimized Defaults
-Disable integrated graphics
-Vcore LLC -> Turbo
-Disabled C1 EIST e.t.c
-Turbo OFF
-Multi = 45
-BCLK = 100

All other at optimized defaults values.

And i am trying for 4.5

Up to vcore = 1.29 Prime95 stops with error in 6 minutes.

With Vcore= 1.30 (idle 39C - Load ~76) it seems that prime95 is running well for the past 45 minutes and i will try to leave it there until morning to see if it gets through.

Isn't it a little high 1.30 for 4.5?

Should i take it and stop there? can i do anything to lower the vcore? (except disabling H/T).

Thanks

Are you my Euro twin?

Not much you can do there really..if the chip needs that voltage, thats what it needs.

:D:D

That's why i couldnt create my usual login ...

Yes probably i am and using this since 25 years now :)

So i ll have to live with it and if i want higher..i ;d better do something about temps

Like HT off or better TIM application e.t.c?

These run warm so not much you can do about it... Disabling HT will save you several degrees, but if you use HT, then you are taking that away for a couple hundred Mhz maybe...

Yes its a shame to disable HT....i could buy a 3550 if i wanted that :)

Thanks
