Hey guys, im pretty noobish when it comes to overclocking, but it seems like my cpu is running alot slower than it should.

Ive used Cpu-z for monitoring my clock speed and it shows a different picture than what my BIOS is telling me.

Im running Win 7, dont know if that has anything to do with it at all?

Any suggestions on how to drastically increase my speed?

Thanks in advance

That is called Speedstep. The CPU clocks down when the full speed isn't needed. You can turn it off in the BIOS as well as CiE. Just Google it. Intel has had it for...ever. It's called Cool and Quiet on AMD's.
