Lost on which GPU to buy

Whats up guys, first time posting to the forum. I,m building my first PC and I have all the parts picked out except for the GPU.

My budget is $320 to $360. Looking for something current gen that'll run more intense games at 60fps 1080p with the settings set to high or max. My monitor is 1080p @ 60Hz. I'd probably prefer Nvidia over AMD but its not a huge deal. Here's my list:

MSI Z97A Gaming 7
Intel i7 4790k
16 GB DDR3 RAM
Samsung 250 GB SSD

Any advice you guys could give is really appreciated. I'm so lost when it comes to graphics cards. If there's any more information you guys need, just post below. Thanks!

Grab a GTX 970.
An EVGA with the ACX cooler would be a good choice.

How good is your case ventilation? If it's not that great, you'll be better off with a good reference style cooler. In my experience, PNY is very good and MSI not so good.
