MBM5 Reading on CPU temps wrong?

Ok, I have been having some issues with MBM5 and temp readings on my system, MBM5 says my temp is 76c and my temp gauge on my case tells me 37c.

The sensor on the temp gauge is setting right on top of the waterblock on the CPU.

How accurate is MBM5 anyways?

Im using a 3.0E oc'd at 3.6 with a Gigabyte 8KNXP Rev2 Board.

Here is a current read out on my system

The sensor on top of the waterblock will not give you a reading anything close to what your CPU temperature is. The top of the waterblock is very cool compared to the bottom die area.

From the picture your getting readings of about 50C though on the CPU and that sounds like it could be about right.

Motherboard Monitor is only going to be as accurate as the sensors on your motherboard. Some motherboards read high on the CPU, some read low.
