I would like to run two different brands of 4GB memory in the same computer. Because i already own them.

Is this possible, I have heard other people doing it. What are the prerequisites?

I am guessing the clocks speeds would have to match.
But what about things like:
Latency
Voltage
Buffered/Unbuffered
ECC/NON-ECC

Does the motherboard make a difference?

Its possible, but not a good idea as it can cause instability. You best bet is the speeds, timings, and voltage must match (outside of the not so relevant buffered/unbuffered/ and ecc/non-ecc). The buff/ecc thing is a non issue because you board only accepts unbuff/non ecc in the first place .

Which sticks are they specifically?
