I've been having a problem after installing a new Gigabyte G1 Guerrilla MB, i7 960 CPU and Corsair Vengeance DDR3 in a system that had been a Gigabyte GA-P45T-USB3 MB, Intel Core 2 Quad 9650 and Corsair XMS3 DDR3. All other components are the same.
The system with the new components runs like a slug, my old Intel 8088 system was faster. Booting takes about 5 minutes and when Windows finally appears the network comes to life and then dies. move around the screen with the mouse is very painful in that anything clicked seems to take a minute or two to respond. In safe mode, everything runs as it should fast and clean, what you would expect from newer gear.
Looking for some suggestions on what to look for and how to resolve the problems.
