So these are my current specs, i'm looking to buy a new MOBO i've got about £100 to spend, also will upgrade to a ssd

+1 for the ASRock Extreme 4. Many positive user comments sold me and it's been a great board. Limited use now as it's in my second rig, but it's a great board at a great price.
 
Why do you need a new motherboard?

Just get a 120GB SSD. It'll help speed up the system more than any motherboard can.
 
I'm getting bsod which I think is caused by the memory or mobo
It could be and then again may not be, you may replace the motherboard and then find out it's not the problem.
 
Go back to troubleshooting in the other thread, no need to drop money on something that may or may not be the problem
