Crucial Vengeance LP 16gb - CML16GX3M2A1600C10

Specs below. AMD FX 8350 4ghz OC'd to 4.2ghz. Memory doesn't run at 1600 stock, had to go into BIOS and setup everything manually and now the system shows the correct specs. Now I would like to attempt to manipulate the timings. Any advice on starting this safely would help.

ASUS Sabertooth 990FX
AMD FX 8350 @ 4.2ghz
Crucial Vengeance 16gb (2x8)
Antec 850
Dark Knight II Nighthawk Edition Heatsink
Gigabyte 7950 OC'd @ 1.0ghz

Honestly, it's really not worth it:

- SPD programmed at: JEDEC standard 9-9-9-24 values at 1333MHz.
- XMP 10-10-10-27 values at 1600MHz, 1.50V

The difference between those latency settings is really unnoticeable, try running 10-10-10-27 @ 1333mhz and see how little is different in loading up your most used program or game... Your reaction time is probably within the margin of difference :D

Getting a higher clock on your cpu and memory would be much more worth it, say 4.5ghz with that nice of a heatsink is a pretty safe bet, then as for the memory frequency, you may need to drop down a divider and run it somewhere between the 1600 and 1333 at which point you can maybe do 9-10-10-26 @ say 1530mhz and 1.50 V. Give it a shot, test for stability (prime95 large FFT or custom and huge), and report back with CPUz tab screen shots.
