Swiftech MCP-655, which is a Liang D5. Basically the best pump on the market right now.

Depends on what you want. If you want silence, like me, D5/MCP655 is definitely not the best pump out there. DDC/MCP350 is clearly quieter and still very efficient pump. If you do the modification, it will outperform even D5 and still be quieter. "Best" is always very subjective...

And now there is the new DDC+ which is more powerful and louder than DDC but probably quieter than D5 - I'm guessing the noise, though.

One should remember that flow rate doesn't play that big role in water cooling.
