That unit is $30 on Amazon through Amazon's Marketplace. So just add that $30 to the build if you want the external.

If you use a lot of disks, it may be more beneficial I suppose to grab an internal drive, but I find disks to be a nuisance personally which is why I moved away from disk drives.
 
Yes, then you will need to connect a sata cable and power cable.
 
You would use one of the sata cables provided with your motherboard and the power cable would come with your power supply.
 
I wouldn't go with 10 just yet because in April when it gets released you'll still have to buy it and you will have stability issues with it seeing as it is still being tested and changed.
