Ordered barebones from magic micro. I installed my own PSU, GPU, RAM and SSD.
I sent the machine back to them with my parts, they tested it and they replaced the mobo and processor.

I got the machine back, boot it up, and have the same problem. I turn it on, it restarts once, and then stays on but doesn't boot to post, just a black screen. Mobo doesn't have a sound card so I can't get any beep codes.

I tried 3 different PSUs, without the GPU plugged in, I removed the SSD, tried 2 different types of RAM, and they replaced the motherboard, cpu and heatsink. Not sure what else to try other than send it back and get my refund.

MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE Z170M-D3H
CPU:Intel i5 6600k
GPU: GTX 970

Need additional information:

What does the barebones consist of?

You had the following hardware to plug into the system:

PSU - 600w. What brand? Model? Just need to know what we are working with.

GPU - GTX 970 and attempted to use onboard of I5 6500

RAM - DDR4 RAM, Speed? Timings? May be too fast for mobo supplied

SSD - 128 gb ssd. What brand? Model?

Mobo - Unknown. Z170? Z270? Asus? Zotac? MSI?? We need the full info on this board. It could be a Z270, and have a bios incompatibility with the 6500.

CPU - I5 6500. K series?

To me, after the steps you described as having taken, I believe the issue lies with the motherboard.

Sometimes companies do minimal testing and send out quickly.
