New gaming/pphoto editing build $600

I need a new system and its been awhile since i built one. I really dont know what components are good these days. I thought maybe you could help.

Uses: mild gaming and photo/video editing. Nothing extreme gaming wise... But will need ram for photography

Here is my intial thoughts
Case - antek black steal mid tower atx
Mb- asrock fatality 990fx am3+
Chip - amd fx 6300
Memory - gskil ripjaw x series 1600

any thoughts? Will i be able to use the old parts listed above? Thanks in advance.
