I wouldn't really call it sadly. NFS always has been an arcade racer and probably always will be. Why does everyone complain that every new NFS game is still arcade style, if you don't like arcade style racing then stick with simulation games like GTR2 and LFS.

Well actually the first Need for Speed game had Road & Track involved. It only took it's modern arcadish turn after Porsche Unleashed which was a real simulation and probably the best need for speed.
