Nothing but trouble...why is my 3000 Venice so poor at overclocking ??

Maybe consider getting another CPU... cheap as dirt right now, and getting cheaper in the near future.

My 3000 did 2430MHz on stock volts, air, and no tweeking of the RAM.

100% stable is the key in any overlcokcing for most. I know I would go for stable over raw speed, unless I am going for a suicide run. then my Venice 3200 is going to be put to 2.9 and taken for every inch it can give.

The 5th part of overclocking an AMD. Is skill working the thing. Since some BIOS are rather complictaed. DFI comes to mind.

Finding out which part is holding you back can sometimes take effort. If your ok with running 1:1 that is ok too. Not super fast, but you know it works for you and is rock stable.
