I did a little searching on my own and the closest i could get to finding one was a listing for one on ebay.com at $170 or on amazon.com as part of an HP prebuilt system that specified the zosma core 960t with 8gb of ram, a dvd burner, a 1.5tb hd and a wifi network card built in with a flat screen lcd monitor for around $590. so i guess usa OEMs did get a few of these chips. but I couldnt see buying one of these zosma chips for either of those prices when on ebay you can find sellers selling brand new in box p2 x6 1090t processors for $13x with free shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMD-Phenom-...sor-/230668190068?pt=CPUs&hash=item35b4e54174 i dont believe it would be very good economically speaking to buy one of these zosma cores at that inflated price, but if it were around the 1090t pricig it would be kinda cool. at the worst youd have a rare quad core processor with an unlocked multiplier, at the possible best you could unlock to a 6 core thuban series. heres the hp pc i found. http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-p...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1315232217&sr=1-1

I hear that loud and clear. But you know how it is when one believes he can get something for nothing. I see where 3 core cpus are bought to specifically attempt an unlock; when >$20 would bring four cores for sure. I guess it depends on how one looks at things.

There's a couple of 970T's on eBay uk for £100 BIN 3.5ghz stock , if these unlock I wonder what clock they would make, it's tempting !!!!!!

who knows. id still watch for a real thuban class processor because theres no 100% guarantee that it will unlock to be a thuban.

You can unlock the Zosma 970's into a 3.5Ghz stock setting, hexacore. But they are rare and difficult to find, plus you may not be able to unlock the other cores.
Here is my cpu z result for the 970 unlocked into the 1705T and OC to 4.0Ghz

You can identify the CPU stepping and base cores on your zosma/phenom II, see this helpful cpu-world guide for more details:
http://www.cpu-world.com/info/AMD/Unlocking_cores_and_L3.html

And the wiki page is good to identify the zosma based P2's:
