I wanted to know of a packet sniffer program that is free for windows. The majority of the ones I know run only under Unix or Linux.

I've used ethereal before, it's not bad and it's free. http://www.ethereal.com

Hi,
I use packetmon, from http://www.analogx.com. I use this at work to monitor websites that users go to. It has the ability to resolve IP's do hostnames, so you can get the URL's of sites that are being visited. It also has a rules system so you can only grab packets that are reaching out for port 80 (or other ports if you wish).
