Much appreciated and If you have any suggestions that would be awesome, don't worry if it goes a little over the price range

Hello and :welcome: to OCF!

So the main purpose of that rig is gaming?

I don't know the gigabyte board, should be fine :) I saw a lot of people recommend the Asrock Extreme Series, it costs about the same. I didn't go through the specs, maybe you can figure out what is best (ports etc.) for the same price. Or you could save a bit with the Pro 4.

3570K is a good choice for gaming

660 Ti SC is a good choice too me thinks. You could look into a 7950, too. Should perform a little bit better with a higher OC potential. However the only one I found with a quick research for the same price, was at stock clocks, so a Super Clocked edition should win. Depending on whether you want to OC yourself or not.

RAM - why would you need that headspreaders on the RAM? Just pick the cheapest 1600er 2x4GB you can lay your hands on.

PSU - 650W is more than enough, you could look into a 500W as well.

If you don't mind exceeding the budget a bit, throw in a 64GB or 128GB SSD, the performance increase is directly noticable and I'd never would want to go back.

Would you buy this PC in october or now? If in october I think you should wait with the config. I read rumors about a 780 GTX coming in May, Haswell is coming too this year.

Welcome !

I pretty much agree with everything idkfa told. Good computer, add an SSD for the OS and that's about it.

 on the video

But it's obvious you didn't even read the first line of the thread ;)
