So I want to build my first computer. This is my first time so any advice is appreciated. What I am needing out of a computer is something I can game with (no specific games, so I want something to play most all of whats out there), and 3D rendering. I'd also like to start dabbling in a little bit of overclocking, and want to later have two video cards in X-fire. I think I want to do an AMD build because of the value of one. Here is what I have so far:

Case: Antec 1200 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129043)
MoBo: GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128441)
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 965 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727)
CPU Cooler: Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835154011)
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tracer 4GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148333)
System HD: WD Caviar Blue 250GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136161)
Data HD: WD Caviar Black 1TB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136320)
PSU: Corsair 750TX (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006)
Video Card: Sapphire Vapor-X HD5770 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102898)
Monitor: ASUS VH242H Black 23.6" (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052)

I chose the 5770 because I hear the new 6000 are coming soon, and I'd hate to spend a bunch now and have card price drop in a month. I am not dead set on anything in that list except the monitor (unless there is another monitor around 24' for a better price).

And help would be awesome.

For your system HD get a SSD and why not a hex core?

Oh sorry, completely forgot to mention this. I am trying to stay around $1400 for everything. From what I've seen, an SSD isn't really in my budget, same goes with the hex core. On new egg everything I have comes in just over 1400 shipped.

OK save yourself some money on the ram then...plenty of cheaper kits available and put it into a better system drive like a WD Black 640GB. You could also get a lower wattage Corsair if you're not planning a high end gpu

Gotcha. The reason that I went with the 750 watt PSU is that I am planing on either getting one of the new 6000 series cards, or buy a higher end 5000 if/when they drop, and I want to run x-fire in the future.

What ram would you recommend? should I go 1333 or 1600?

1600 Maybe OCZ or GSkill....I guess stay with the 750w then if you want to crossfire
