Hey guys having a tad of an issue with my pc turning on when i press the on switch. rarely it will boot first go. other times it will take about 5 mins of constantly pressing the button.

I have replaced the CMOS batt
updated the bios.
removed ram and individually trying them with no success
unlplugged everything from the io pannel leaving only the power cable in.

everything works amazing when it turns on. no bsod nothing.
cpu is oc at 4.0. gpu is stock. everything else from that hasnt changed from stock.

any suggestions on what this could be??

Bad power switch on the case? Like Conum said, jump the power headers on the mobo or try the switch on the board (it does have them) to see if its the switch on the case that is causing issues.

should have said i had tried that. extreme6 has a pw reset. same thing.

im stumped on an order on how to go ahead.

replacement psu
then MB

not sure when it works fine why its perfect though

If you have another PSU, plug that in to test. If you have another mobo, try that. That is the only way to know which is which.

i wish i had spares. might be able to source a psu from someone. i hope.

have you guys ever seen or heard anything like it ?

so after finally getting around to sorting this out. (only because the ax850 died.) ive just got a RM850 in instead. turns out it was the psu causing all the issues.
