Im wondering how blank dvd's differ in quality and what kind of problems I may run in to if using a cheaper quality DVD. Ive heard that Taiyo Yuden are the best but they are extremley expensive. What do expensive blank DVD's have that cheaper ones dont.

thanks

Better compatibilty, higher burn speeds with less errors and a long shelf life once burnt.

Basically, for run of the mill storage and movies you dont need expensive media. For stuff like legal backups of games on consoles, you need decent media.
