Hello, I'm looking to build a new computer. I was wondering if I could get some advice.

I Currently own:

Memory Storage:
Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW120G3K5 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167050
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3750640AS 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148134

Video Card:
EVGA 01G-P3-1373-TR GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) Superclocked EE 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130567

Power Supply:
Ultra LSP650
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3276573&CatId=1483

Case:
Thermaltake Black Armor Full-Tower ATX

Heatsink:
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus

For reference my current MOBO and CPU that I want to upgrade are:
Asus P5N-E SLI Motherboard - NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI
Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q6600 (8M Cache, 2.40 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)

I am sure I can re-use the case, video card, and drive, how about the Power Supply and heatsink?

Should I upgrade my video card or will this hold for a bit longer?

Could I get some recommendations for MOBO and CPU that are competitively priced as offer a great bang for their buck?

MOBO features:
I would like to have a USB3.0 port

MOBO worries:
I have currently Asus P5N-E SLI Motherboard - NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI
*It has horrible PCI express location so the Video card basically hovers above the SATA plugs. Out of 4 SATA plugs I was only able to fit 2 SATA devices in. And that was with a third party low profile 90 degree turn cable. The point is I would like to use all the features of the MOBO (even with a huge video card which is the current trend)
*The NVIDIA drivers for the SSD are not great and either don't support TRIM or support it incorrectly. I have to specify to use windows7's SSD drivers...not ideal.

CPU worries:
I would want an i7 I think. The more components I can re-use the more price is not an issue.

Thanks for your help!

Let me know if you need more information from me.

oh, almost forgot: Intended Uses.
I'm a gamer, (I dabled in OC'ing previously but I don't think I will do that to my next system). I play Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, and other graphically intensive games. I do some audio recording of guitar + vocals and audio editing (not much).

[Edit]
I plan on looking into overclocking. I don't have a specific plan for it right now
I'm in the US ordering from the US
I have Windows 7 and will get windows 8 (probably)
I have dual HD monitors (LED backlit), keyboard (Logitech G-15), and mouse
I don't plan on SLI or CrossfireX

Asrock Extreme4 (has USB3 ports)
2x4GB DDR3 1600 Mhz ram.

Resuse the rest if the GPU is up to YOUR standards, not ours... however I would imagine the 460 is getting a little long in the tooth at this time for some games.

I dont see the point in that much ram personally. Unless you know you are close to breaking 8GB, that is the only reason I would get 16GB.

well, one reason would be that DDR3 ram right now if fairly cheap. When DDR4 comes out manufacturers will stop producing as much DDR3 but the demand will still be the same.

Kind of the same thing that's happening with DD2, currently. it's way more expensive per GB than DDR3 is.

The point would be buy it while it's cheap. Could too much RAM hurt? I think I read an article about that some months back, but I don't remember the outcome.

It wont hurt anything except your wallet now, no. 8GB is plenty for until you upgrade to DDR4 Im sure. Up to you though.

Oops.. yep. the Z77 (though locked or unlocked Z68 it wont matter). But Z77 is the newest and what you should get.

The 3570K should save you a bit of cash. i5s and i7s usually perform around the same in games.

General googling says that the PSU you have isn't the greatest...I'd probably recommend getting a new one.

Don't forget combo deals!

any MOBO I buy won't support DDR4 will it?

I will probably go for an i5 instead of the i7 to save a few $$

Is there a recommended method for selling old hardware?
I will probably try to sell my Q6600 as it's probably still in demand due to the ease of overclocking it.

Re: DDR4, Nope.

Ebay/Craigslist for you now. We have a classifieds section, but you are not able to access it without 100 QUALITY posts (dont spam!) and an ISP/EDU/MIL email (you can find the rules for classies in the main forum).

What do you think of these items?

The edited amount show the total after a mail-in rebate and a 10% discount right now
